story of two Chinese students has touched the hearts of Chinese
people. Xie Xu, an 18-year-old student in Jiangsu province, has
carried his classmate Zhang Chi on his back for the past three years.
Zhang has been suffering from muscular dystrophy which is an incurable
disease that gradually weakens major muscles. The pair’s classmates
said that Xie has not only carried Zhang from and to the school
but also from class to class. According to posts on Weibo, one of
the most popular Chinese microblogging websites, Xie also brings
Zhang all three meals every school day.
Guo
Chunxi, the vice headmaster of the school, thinks that Xie’s commitment
to his friend has inspired other classmates who also have helped
Xie with other things in class. “He is the most beautiful student,”
Guo said.
Xie and Zhang have managed to stay among the top of their class.
According to Shanghaiist.com, Xie has applied to the Nanjing Polytechnic
University, one of the top universities in China, and Zhang will
be taking the National Higher Education Entrance Exam in China.

두 중국인 학생의 이야기가 중국 사람들의 마음을 울리고 있습니다.
장쑤성의 18세 학생 시에 쑤는 반 친구 장 치를 지난 3년동안 등에 업고 다녔습니다.
장은 점진적으로 주요 근육을 약하게 하는 불치병인 근육위축병으로 고통 받고 있습니다.
그 두 학생의 친구들은 시에가 장을 학교 통학 뿐만 아니라 이동 수업 때에도 업고 다녔다고 말했습니다.
가장 인기 있는 중국 마이크로 블로그 웹사이트 웨이보에 따르면, 시에는 또한 장을 학교 수업일마다 세 끼의 식사를 갖다 줍니다.
그 학교의 구오 춘시 교감 선생님은 시에의 친구에 대한 헌신이 수업에서 다른 것들로 시에를 돕는 다른 친구들에게 영감을 주었다고 생각합니다.
“그는 가장 아름다운 학생입니다”라고 구오 교감 선생님이 말씀하셨습니다.
시에와 장은 반에서 상위권에 머물고 있습니다.
상하이스트 닷 컴에 따르면, 시에는 중국에서 명문 대학 중 하나인 난징 폴리텍 대학교에 지원하였고 장은 중국의 국가 수능시험을 볼 것입니다.
